We can’t “special order” our faith. We are called in Scripture to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. In our text (Hebrews 10:19-25), we are reminded of the Gospel and then challenged to respond in three ways. Let us draw near to God. Let us hold on to the promises of God. Let us spur one another on to love and good works. We can’t ask God to hold the “let us” as if we are ordering a burger in a fast-food restaurant. We must respond to the Gospel! Those who love Him will be compelled by that love to follow Him!
