Reverend Linden DeBie, Ph. D. Pastor
The Reverend Dr. Linden DeBie, received his BA from Cal State University, Fullerton, in political science and then studied at the Reformed Church in America seminaries in Holland, Michigan and New Brunswick, New Jersey, taking first his Divinity degree and then his Masters of Theology degree. He went on to take his Ph.D. at McGill University, Montreal, Canada, in the field of Philosophy of Religion in 1987.
He has pastored the third Reformed Church in Raritan, New Jersey, the Old Paramus Reformed Church in Ridgewood, New Jersey, Christ Church, Morecambe, England and the Peapack Reformed Church, New Jersey, before coming to serve Church by the Sea. While service the Church in Peapack, Dr. DeBie was adjunct professor of bio-medical ethics at Seton Hall U niversity, New Brunswick Theological Seminary. He is married and has a daughter, and his passion is fly fishing. Dr. DeBie has been the Pastor of Church by the Sea since 2002. |
Guy
Director of Music
Guy Wright holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education and a Master of Arts Degree in vocal and instrumental music from the University of Pennsylvania. He taught in the Ohio and Florida public schools as a band and choral director. Although he enjoyed teaching, church choral music has always been his first love. During the last 50 years, he has served as Director of Music at Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, Mount Auburn Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, and Sunset Presbyterian Church, St. Andrews United Methodist Church and Church by the Sea. Guy is married. |

Christopher
Organist
A native of California, Christopher Kane is an alumnus of the Conservatory of Music at the University of the Pacific, Stockton, California, receiving a Bachelor of Music degree in organ performance. He also holds a Master of Music degree in Church Music from Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey. Since 1992, he has been on staff with Church by the Sea.

Gunter
Sexton, Corporate Administrator
After a successful career as an accounting executive in the Re-Insurance business in Munich, Germany, Gunter Gies moved his family to the United States in 1996. They decided that they wanted more family time and to do that, they went into early semi-retirement to the Sunshine State. The first five years they owned and ran a 30 unit motel on Ft. Lauderdale Beach. Then he entered into real estate and a couple of small business ventures. When the opportunity arose for employment at their local church, he immediately applied and has been employed as the Sexton/Corporate Administrator since December 2003. Gunter is married and has a son. |
